I am Collur Dhananjay and my friends call me DJ. I am from Bangalore, India. I worked in corporate world for 9 years, ran my own business for 31 years, sold my stake and retired last year.

I have been playing guitar, harp and singing since my teens. Somewhere down the line, I started writing my own music some time back. When I was about 60, I decided to focus on Original Independent Music. My first song Unrequited Love idea came to me when I was reading Clapton’s Biography and his long wait for Pattie Boyd set in 12 bar minor blues. Since then, I have recorded 32 original songs mostly in English and some in four Indian Languages. I got lucky with my The Retirement Song which went viral.

I have always treated Bob Dylan as my guru and have a large repertoire of his songs that I sing alone along with my harp and guitar. Even my own compositions have marked Dylan influence and some of my friends call me DJ Dylan. For his 80th Birthday, I wrote a tribute song Eternal Bob Dylan to capture his life moments and his thoughts. This Biopic is also available as 1 200 second audio / video. In July, I managed to record Bob Dylan 5 songs Gig in a neighborhood Dylan Bar. For me, Dylan is my God’!.

Eternal Bob Dylan lyrics
Born in Minnesota
In nineteen forty one
Robert Allen Zimmerman
Known as Bob Dylan
A Gemini affable
For ever young
Music has not been the same
Since you came along

Unruly curls and lazy smile
Looking so forlorn
Your eyes bluer than Robin’s egg
Searching for a song
Cigarette in your mouth
And a guitar in your hand
You fill up the stage alone
You’re a one man band

A poet and an artist
Singer with a harp
Spirit of America’s
Country Blues and Rock
Your music has no boundaries
You fought for many a-cause
Blowing in the wind
To chimes of freedom

You loved Woody Guthrie
Sara and Caroline
Wrote a song for Harrison
Johnny Cash and Joan
Your drawings and paintings
Hang on museum walls
Your 100 million records
Are treasured by your fans

Noble Prize in Literature
T’was a fitting Crown
Grammy and Golden Globe awards
Too many to count
The Never Ending Tour
From nineteen eighty eight
Three thousand sold out concerts
Still going strong

A poet and an artist
Singer with a harp
Spirit of America’s
Country Blues and Rock
Your music has no boundaries
You fought for many a cause
Blowing in the wind
To chimes of freedom
