The album’s 4th track, London Town Bringing Me Down is again mix of ‘Les Paul’s’ (The Paul’s) unique reggae-ska sound and chronicles the artist’s desire to get away telling the listener that the artists can’t take any more of this land of grey skies and rain and their eyes are set far away in a land of sun, blue skies and blue sky, in the Promised Land figuratively and actually for one of the artists as they will look back at England from afar as witnesses to what it has become. To them grey, rainy and depressing London is full of strangers and immigrants, most of whom they will never get to know where, because of the high cost of housing they can’t afford to own the house they live in.

London Town Bringing Me Down Lyrics
London Town is bringing me down
I can’t take much more of this town
The sky is grey and full of rain
I can’t breathe in this crowded train

Surrounded by strangers wherever I go
None of them I will ever know
Even my house is not my home
I have never felt so alone

Through the grey clouds I can see the rising sun
Shining for me, calling me on

Must cut the roots of the tree
Must get away, must break free
I just can’t go on like this
I don’t think there’s anything that I’ll miss

London Town where I was born
On one cold grey winter’s morn
How you’ve changed before my eyes
I think my love for you has died

I must leave you now I must go
Far from this cold land of rain and snow
To a place of sun and golden sand
To the ancient Promised Land

Through the grey clouds I see the rising sun
Shining for me, calling me on

Must cut the roots of the tree
Must get away, must break free
I just can’t go on like this
I don’t think there’s anything that I’ll miss

I’ll start afresh I’ll start anew
I’ll live a life meaningful and true
I’ll Pick roses in the snow
By the fallen walls of Jericho

This is where it all began
With just a woman and a man
I’ll start my life all over again
I’ll be far away from the hurt and pain

Through the grey clouds I see the rising sun
Shining for me, calling me on
Through the grey clouds I see the rising sun
Shining for me, calling me on
