Where Are You Jimmy Hoffa?
Born on an Indiana night
Before the start of World War One
He would learn to scrap and fight
And grow to feel the power of the gun

His father died when he was 7
Worked his life down the mine
For sure he went to heaven
Unlike Jimmy, he was honest and kind

Became the hero of the working class
You knew it couldn’t last
The Washington Post wrote ‘You snored at the opera’
Yeah, that was big Jimmy Hoffa

But where are you Jimmy Hoffa
Where did you go?
Someone must know
They just gotta, they just gotta

You growled and laughed at Bobby
You put him down
You and the mob
Didn’t want him around

He formed ‘The get Hoffa squad’
And followed you like hound dogs
They put you away for fraud
As they say, ‘He who lives by the sword’

Tricky Dicky he let you out
He didn‘t know what it was all about
When he found out it was too late
All that water had long flowed under the gate

Where’d ya go Jimmy Hoffa?
Someone must know
They just gotta, they just gotta

You wouldn’t bow to the kings of the street
You hoped for victory in defeat
You knew they didn’t want you around
You hoped a fair solution could be found

At the Red Fox you waited outside
They came and took you for a ride
The House Painter he shook his fist
The gold crucifix around your neck you kissed

Who whacked you Jimmy, was it Sully?
Did they do it in the alley?
Sully was the mob’s number one hit man
For sure it wasn’t the Irishman

After the deed had been done
They say they put you in a drum
And drove you outta state
To a New Jersey landfill place

But where are you Jimmy Hoffa?
Are you in the ground?
Someone’s gotta tell, they gotta, they just gotta
Where can you be found?

They said you were going to sing
That you wanted to depose the king
That you wanted to be top dog
That’s why you had to be stopped

Since 75 you’ve been gone
You left a wife, a daughter and a son
Was it your step-son that drove the car
As he chewed on a big fat cigar?

They decared you dead in 82
Where you are they haven’t got a clue
All those who knew are now long dead
Some died by the gun, some died in their bed

They killed you for the power
And for the glory
You have no grave to lay flowers
There is no end to this story

So where are you Jimmy?
Where did you go?
Someone must know
They just gotta, they just gotta

Where are you Jimmy?
Where did you go?
Someone must know
They just gotta, they just gotta
Where are you Jimmy?
