Raging Storm returns to more personal territory, following a narrator choosing to leave a long relationship despite the internal turmoil that decision brings. Built around the metaphor of a turbulent sea voyage, the song explores self-imposed isolation, the instinct to hold loved ones at arm’s length in order to protect them, and a weary search for forgiveness and release.

Raging Storm lyrics
Even though I liked you the most
I never allowed you to get too close
There’s a raging storm blowing inside
Something I’ve tried my best to hide
When the wind and rain blows into a storm
That’s when I remember your bed was so warm
Outside your window the sky is grey
Wish I had left yesterday
Wish I had left yesterday
I don’t feel the need to fully explain
About my inner heartache and pain
Storms of confusion rain into our face
Disconnecting us from the human race
Maybe I stayed too long
Maybe the thrill really is gone
Maybe I let emotions get in the way
But I should have left here yesterday
I should have left here yesterday
Drifting through ages like a leaf on the wind
I am no different, I too have sinned
Of course there are regrets, I cannot lie
I’ve still got time to say sorry before I die
I’m getting ready to leave, ready to go
I’ll miss you too, I guess I suppose
Wish it could have been another way
I know I should have left yesterday
I should have left here yesterday
I am sailing through the storm
Tryna find somewhere warm
Tryna get as far away from my self as I can
I try to stay awake
I know I’ve made many mistakes
It’s no excuse, but I’m just a man
This old boat shudders and creaks
I’m in desperate need of sleep
Soon I’ll find rest and peace
When the storm will die and cease
Then I will be released
I will be released
Even though I liked you the most
I never allowed you to get too close
I never allowed you to get too close
Even though I liked you the most
